Overview
Lucky Wheel is an offline-first prize-wheel app. You create wheels, spin them, run draw sessions, and keep notes about the results, and all of that stays on your device. Lucky Wheel has no accounts, no Lucky Wheel server, and it does not send the wheels, prizes, draw sessions, history or notes you create to the developer or to anyone else.
This policy explains what the app stores, what it does not do, and how you can delete your data. It describes version 1.2.0 of the app. In this policy, “we” and “the developer” mean the developer of Lucky Wheel.
Information You Enter
Lucky Wheel only handles information that you type in or choose yourself:
- Wheel titles, entered in the “Wheel Title” field.
- Slices / prizes: the label and the weight you enter for each slice. The app also stores a colour for each slice, which it assigns automatically.
- Timestamps and order: when each wheel was created and last changed, and the position of each slice on the wheel.
- Spin results: when a spin finishes, the app shows the winning prize and asks for an optional note. If you save the result, it is added to that wheel’s spin history together with the prize name, its weight, and the date and time. If you skip (or dismiss the dialog), nothing is saved.
- Winner notes: the optional free-text note you can attach to a saved result, for example a ticket number or a winner’s name.
- Draw sessions: when you run a draw session on a wheel, the app stores the target number of winners you set, whether No Repeat is turned on, and the winners you confirm during the session. A finished session with at least one confirmed winner is kept as part of that wheel’s session history.
- App settings: your theme (light, dark or follow system), whether Dynamic colour is on, your language choice, and whether you have finished the welcome screens.
Winner notes are free text. If you enter other people’s names or ticket numbers, that information is stored in the same way as everything else, on your device only. Please handle it responsibly and delete it when you no longer need it.
Local Storage
The information above is stored in the app’s private storage on your device: a local database holds your wheels, slices, spin history and draw sessions, and a small preferences file holds your theme, Dynamic colour and welcome-screen settings. Your language choice is remembered through Android’s per-app language setting. It is used only to make the app work, for example to show your wheels, run a spin, show your history, and remember your appearance and language choices.
Data Collection and Transmission
Lucky Wheel does not transmit your wheels, prizes, weights, spin history, draw sessions, winner notes or settings to any server operated by the developer, and the developer does not receive them. There is no Lucky Wheel backend, no cloud sync, and no feature to back up or export your data. Version 1.2.0 does not request Android’s internet permission, so the app has no way of sending data over the network by itself.
Two things are outside the app and are described in their own sections below: what Google Play does as the store and platform (“Google Play”), and what happens when you choose to open a link or share a message (“Links and Sharing”).
Accounts
Lucky Wheel does not require an account and does not offer sign-in. You are never asked to create a username or password, and the app does not ask for your name, email address or phone number.
Advertising
Version 1.2.0 contains no advertising. There is no advertising SDK, no ad display, and the app does not request or use your Android advertising ID.
Analytics and Crash Reporting
Version 1.2.0 does not include any analytics or crash-reporting service. The app’s code contains internal hooks for these features (for example, for noting that a wheel was created), but in this version they are connected to implementations that do nothing: everything passed to them is discarded on your device. No usage statistics or crash reports are created by the app or sent anywhere.
Your device or Google Play may separately collect diagnostic information if you have allowed that in your device settings. That is outside Lucky Wheel’s control (see the next section).
Google Play
Google Play, the store you may have used to install Lucky Wheel, is operated by Google and follows Google’s own Privacy Policy, which we do not control. Google Play may make some aggregated information about the app available to the developer through Google Play Console, for example install counts, ratings and reviews that you choose to post, and, where a device is set to share diagnostics with Google, crash and performance statistics. That information comes from Google Play, not from Lucky Wheel. Lucky Wheel does not send your wheels, prizes, draw sessions, history or notes to Google Play.
Data Sharing
The developer does not receive your app data, so the developer does not share, sell or rent it to anyone. Lucky Wheel contains no third-party advertising, analytics, attribution or social-media services.
Links and Sharing
- Privacy Policy link. The “Privacy Policy” row in Settings opens this policy in your web browser. Your browser, not Lucky Wheel, connects to the website that hosts it, and that website may receive standard technical information such as your IP address, as any web page does.
- Share Lucky Wheel. The “Share Lucky Wheel” row in Settings opens Android’s share sheet with a short, fixed message inviting someone to try the app. It does not include your wheels, history or notes. What happens next depends on the app you choose to share with.
Permissions
Lucky Wheel does not ask for any permission that needs your approval, such as location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos or files, or notifications. It also does not request internet access.
Data Retention and Deletion
Your data stays on your device until you remove it. We keep no copy, so we cannot recover deleted data, and there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf. You can remove data in these ways:
- Delete a wheel. On the home screen, open a wheel’s options, choose Delete, and confirm. This removes the wheel, its slices, all of its spin history and winner notes, and all of its draw sessions and session history. It cannot be undone.
- Clear a wheel’s history. On a wheel’s Spin History screen, tap the trash icon (“Clear History”) and confirm. This permanently removes that wheel’s standalone spin results and winner notes and its draw-session history, and keeps the wheel itself.
- Clear the app’s data or uninstall. Clearing Lucky Wheel’s storage in Android’s system settings removes everything the app stores, including your settings. Uninstalling the app removes its data under normal Android behavior.
Draw session history. A finished draw session with at least one confirmed winner stays on your device as part of that wheel’s session history until you clear the wheel’s history or delete the wheel. A session finished with no confirmed winners is discarded and not kept.
Limits of the current deletion controls:
- There is no “delete all data” button in Settings. To remove everything at once, clear the app’s data in Android settings or uninstall the app.
- You cannot delete or edit a single saved spin result or note. You can clear a wheel’s whole history or delete the wheel.
- Saved history keeps the prize name as it was when the spin happened. Renaming or removing a prize in a wheel does not change results already saved in its history.
- Lucky Wheel opts out of Android’s automatic app backup and has no export or cloud sync, so your wheels and history are not expected to be restored automatically after you uninstall the app or move to a new device.
Children’s Privacy
Lucky Wheel is a general-purpose tool and is not designed specifically for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, and the app does not send information to the developer. If you have a question about children’s privacy, contact us at the address below.
Security
Lucky Wheel keeps your data in the app’s private storage on your device, which Android keeps separate from other apps. The app does not add its own encryption on top of that, so anyone who can unlock your device and open the app can see your wheels and history.
Lucky Wheel has no server that stores your data and no network permission, so the app does not send your data anywhere.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy, for example if a future version adds features that change how information is handled, such as accounts, online features, advertising or analytics. The updated policy will be posted where you found this one, with a new effective date. The app has no way to contact you directly, so please check the effective date from time to time.
